Job Summary
Conduct strategic clinical pharmacy analysis for clients and account teams to evaluate program performance and identify cost/utilization trends. Develop and present pharmacy reporting on client-specific trends, while providing RFP sales support and consulting on clinical opportunities. Translate complex pharmacy data and market insights into actionable guidance to optimize benefits for affordability, quality, and member experience. Collaborate with internal experts and stakeholders to advance benefit management strategies and product development through thought leadership in analytics and clinical recommendations. Requires 20% travel across Western, Eastern Washington, and Alaska.
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacist Degree
- Active US Pharmacist license in good standing
- Two (2) years' experience as a pharmacist or completing of clinical pharmacy training, clinical residency training from an accredited Pharmacy program
- 20% travel across Western, WA, Eastern, WA and Alaska to meet with clients
Desired Qualifications
- An advanced degree (e.g. PharmD, MBA, MHA, MPH or equivalent experience)
- Experience in managed care setting
- Experience in retail pharmacy environment
- Experience in delivering MTM services directly to patients
- Experience in managed care setting for one year or more
- Knowledge and understanding of the core elements of MTM services
- Demonstrated knowledge of drug utilization management tactics including formulary development and drug use criteria development
- Demonstrated knowledge of drug information procedures and reference sourcing
- Ability to support multiple, complex, and concurrent projects
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as a member of a team
- Strong analytical and PC operation skills (i.e. Microsoft Office products)
- Familiarity with local and regional health care issues
