Job Summary
Review patients' medication orders for interactions, duplication, and appropriateness, then make evidence-based interventions to optimize therapy and ensure safe, cost-effective dispensing. Oversee medication preparation and delivery to care areas while providing counseling on adherence and quality education. Supervise interns and technicians, solve staffing and equipment issues, and identify process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety. Partner with pharmacy leadership to support clinical directives and local initiatives. Join the team launching a new outpatient pharmacy in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
- License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
- Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
- Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
- Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs
- Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
- 1 to 2 10-hour shifts, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, per week
- St. Mary's Regional Hospital, Colorado
- Grand Junction, Colorado
