Job Summary
Provide pharmacokinetic consultation by evaluating drug medical selection and dosing using laboratory data, then document interventions and conduct outcome studies to demonstrate patient response. Manage medication therapy for assigned patients through reconciliation, monitoring, and education, while assisting in developing pathways, best practices, and guidelines for the neonatal population. Mentor residents, students, and new staff to meet departmental goals, and educate healthcare providers as needed. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards while adapting communication styles to specific patient populations and special needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency (3 years related specialty experience accepted in lieu of PGY1 Residency)
- Current Pharmacy license in the state of practice
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Strong leadership/teaching skills
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to travel throughout and between facilities

- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
- Completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Residency
