Job Summary
Review, verify, and dispense medication orders while overseeing pharmacy personnel for preparation and distribution. Monitor therapy for safety, effectiveness, and drug interactions, ensuring compliance with USP 797 standards for sterile compounding. Conduct medication histories, support reconciliation, and provide drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients. Participate in antimicrobial stewardship, quality improvement projects, and formulary management initiatives. Mentor pharmacy staff, residents, and students while documenting clinical interventions and helping prevent adverse drug events. Requires a PharmD, PGY-1 residency, BCPS, or five years of clinical experience, plus a Maryland license. Join a collaborative team focused on patient safety and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency
- Board Certification (BCPS)
- More than 5 years of experience with at least 50% of practice in a clinical pharmacist role
- Maryland Pharmacist License
- Eligibility to obtain licensure
