Job Summary
Clinical Pharmacist role within Northwestern Medicine focusing on medication safety, effectiveness, and integration of pharmacy services. Responsibilities include interpreting medication orders for safety, resolving medication-related problems, monitoring drug interactions and therapy effectiveness, advising prescribers and other health professionals, participating in therapeutic drug monitoring programs, documenting clinical activities, maintaining patient pharmacotherapy records, ensuring accurate dispensing and formulary compliance, and educating patients and staff. Requires Illinois pharmacist license and a Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree; preferred residency or specialty training. Compensation includes evenings full-time schedule and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Active Clinical Pharmacist license in the state of Illinois (IDFPR)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree
