Job Summary
Monitor drug therapy to improve patient outcomes, recommend rational and cost-effective pharmacotherapeutic alternatives, and provide accurate medication distribution. Implement and evaluate nutritional support and pharmacokinetic regimens while supervising pharmacy technical staff. Maintain current AHA BLS certification and demonstrate proficiency in mathematics within a fast-paced environment requiring frequent task prioritization. This role supports the Madison Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy Department's commitment to quality care and efficient medication management for inpatient patients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in pharmacy or doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited university
- license to practice pharmacy in Alabama
- Proof of current AHA BLS
- Must have excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast paced environment
- requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly
- Must be proficient in mathematics
Desired Qualifications
- completion of post graduate pharmacy residency
- equivalent clinical experience
- completion of post graduate pharmacy residency or equivalent clinical practice
