Job Summary
Clinical Pharmacist Internal Medicine role delivering safe, effective pharmaceutical care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include reviewing patients' medication orders for allergies, drug interactions, and appropriateness; providing evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use; ensuring timely dispensing and proper storage; counseling patients; ensuring regulatory compliance; supervising interns, technicians, and support staff as required; participating in departmental meetings, clinical initiatives, quality improvement, and leadership-driven programs; and supporting local and enterprise pharmacy leadership initiatives. Shifts rotate days, weekends, and holidays. Requires Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy and an active license, with immunization certification if applicable; strong communication and project-management skills; and preferred PGY1 or hospital-experience credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified)
- License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances
- Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice
- Effective communication, people management, and project management skills
- Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs
- Preferred PGY1 experience
- Acute hospital experience
- Previous experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery system
- Board Certification
- Health System Residency
