Job Summary
Clinical Pharmacist responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective pharmaceutical care within the assigned practice scope. Reviews patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, and drug interactions; provides evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use; ensures timely dispensing and proper storage of medications; provides patient counseling and education to promote adherence; ensures regulatory compliance and documentation; supervises interns, technicians, and support personnel; offers medication-related clinical consultation to other health professionals; identifies safety hazards and opportunities for process improvements; participates in departmental meetings and supports leadership initiatives within an integrated healthcare delivery system.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution (education verified)
- License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice
- Current knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding practice
- Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs
- Effective communication, people management, and project management skills
- Preferred: Board Certification, Health System Residency
