Job Summary
Clinical Pharmacist II in Oncology responsible for collaborating with physicians and nurses to ensure safe and effective prescribing, dispensing, and monitoring of medications. Duties include evaluating medication orders, preparing IV admixtures and sterile products (including large volume parenterals, TPN, cytotoxic drugs), counseling patients and families, monitoring drug therapy, supervising support personnel, data entry and verification, and participating in inpatient rounds, quality and education initiatives, and multidisciplinary teams. Requires current specialized drug knowledge, strong communication and leadership abilities, and ongoing professional development to advance patient outcomes. Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy OR Equivalent Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of Pharmacy
- PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist in the state of practice required
- Board certification within one year of eligibility within 1 Year required
- PGY-1 or 3 years of direct patient care experience in a hospital setting required
