Clinical Pharmacist II Acute Internal Medicine Focus

Interprets physician instructions to deliver correct patient care and oversees prescription order entry, packaging, and dispensing in the acute care setting. Provides and monitors pharmacy-driven protocols, drug utilization, and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients, and the public while evaluating the appropriateness of drug therapeutics. Supervises pharmacy technicians and nurses for patient and staff education, precepts students, and collaborates with physicians to optimize medication therapy and ensure patient safety. Requires NC licensure within 60 days of hire, BLS certification, and a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree with three years of experience.
