Job Summary
Clinical Pharmacist IA Pediatrics Nights providing pharmaceutical care for pediatric patients with a night-shift schedule in a tertiary hospital setting. Responsibilities include medication order review and verification, therapeutic drug monitoring for high-risk medications, medication management, emergency code response, care coordination, drug information responses, and education to students, residents, pharmacists, other health care practitioners, and families. Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams; limited rounding and a focus on safety, clinical pharmacy questions, and ensuring optimal medication use. Required are Pharm.D. or BS with licensure in Maryland, ASHP-accredited residency (or equivalent experience), and ongoing professional development in a high-acuity pediatric inpatient environment; ACLS/PALS desired; strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient-care orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm. D. or BS degree
- Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience
- Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland
- ACLS and/or PALS certification is desired
