Job Summary

Conduct direct patient care activities by proactively reviewing and processing orders, evaluating drug therapy regimens, and intervening to prevent or resolve drug-related problems. Perform daily in-depth patient profile reviews to assess and recommend appropriate drug therapy while documenting clinical activities and adverse drug events. Engage with prescribers, other clinical pharmacists, and leadership to optimize evidenced-based care and coordinate transitions of care. Mentor pharmacy students and residents, participate in medication use evaluations, and support departmental quality, safety, and cost-saving initiatives. Maintain clinical competency through licensure and departmental requirements while adhering to institutional protocols and state regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • One year of relevant experience
  • Pharmacy Specialty Board certification or ASHP-Accredited Post Graduate Year 1 pharmacy residency preferred
  • Eligible for Georgia Licensure
  • Licensed in Georgia prior to official start date
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • 20-50 lbs

  • 67-100% of the workday
  • Lifting 50 lbs max
  • Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • One year of relevant experience
  • Pharmacy Specialty Board certification or ASHP-Accredited Post Graduate Year 1 pharmacy residency preferred
  • One year of experience will be waived for candidates who have been employed as student/interns within the Emory Healthcare system
