Review every prescription in your queue for potential drug interactions, correct dosing, and patient allergies, then accurately enter and verify orders into the computer system before dispensing medications. Document clinical activities and interventions such as consults and patient teachings per policy. Verify medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel and communicate drug information to patients and health professionals, clarifying unclear orders with licensed providers. Resolve drug-related problems by consulting other health care professionals to achieve appropriate patient outcomes. Maintain a working knowledge of automated systems and provide basic clinical services for all age groups served.
