Job Summary
Process orders for appropriateness, clarification, profiling, verification, and dispensing within established standards, while assisting with emergent department needs. Perform clinical interventions based on P&T protocols and supply drug information to physicians, nurses, and patients. Provide pharmaceutical care consultations, evaluate and optimize drug therapy for high-risk patients, and develop ongoing services with the Clinical Coordinator. Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Requires a Doctorate in Pharmacy, current NJ license, ACLS certification, and 1 year of residence or 3 years of clinical experience. Based at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Pharmacy
- 1 year residence or 3 years of clinical pharmacist experience or Board Certification (BPCS)
- Current NJ Pharmacist license
- ACLS Certification
- Strong professional, organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team and patients
- Proficiency in Word® and Excel®
