Job Summary
Clinical Pharmacist role at Barnes-Jewish Hospital involves direct involvement in inpatient and outpatient medication therapy services, directing workflow and supervising technicians and interns, providing drug information, supporting transitions of care, and ensuring safe, effective medication use. Responsibilities include evaluating medication orders for appropriateness, counseling and educating staff and patients, directing procurement and distribution of medications, and contributing to interdisciplinary meetings to optimize patient outcomes. Requires MO licensure (RPh) and a strong foundation in pharmacy practice with experience in a hospital setting; opportunities exist across central and satellite pharmacies with access to advanced resources and an integrated practice model.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist
- RPh license MO or eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- <2 years experience in pharmacy
- Experience supervising technicians/interns/volunteers
- Knowledge of medication therapy and drug information resources
- Ability to oversee medication orders and transitions of care
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed pharmacist
- Medication Therapy Services (MO) license or eligibility
- RPh license
- Doctorate in Pharmacy (Preferred)
- 2-5 years experience (Preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (required)
