Job Summary

Review patient medication orders for interactions, duplication, and appropriateness, then make evidence-based interventions to optimize drug therapy and ensure safe, cost-effective dispensing. Oversee medication preparation and delivery to care areas while providing counseling to patients on adherence and quality education. Supervise interns and technicians as needed, offer clinical consultation to other health professionals, and proactively solve staffing and equipment issues. Identify process improvements and safety hazards to enhance patient satisfaction and participate in departmental meetings. Complete all regulatory training and maintain compliance with state and federal laws. Work Monday through Friday during day shift with no weekends or holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified)
  • License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances
  • Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice
  • Effective communication, people management, and project management skills
  • Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs
  • Monday – Friday, day shift, no weekends or holidays
