Job Summary
Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to verify chemotherapy orders, manage regimens, provide patient education on medications and side effects, monitor adverse events, and participate in protocol development, quality assurance, and clinical research activities. Requires PharmD with Alabama licensure, 5+ years oncology experience (BCOP preferred), experience with oncology EMR and NCCN guidelines, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Schedule typically Monday–Friday daytime; position located at Grandview Medical Center in Alabama with infusion services and outpatient oncology care.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Current pharmacist licensure in Alabama
- Minimum 5 years of oncology pharmacy experience or BCPS preferred
- Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) preferred
- Experience with oncology EMR systems and chemotherapy order verification preferred
- Strong knowledge of NCCN guidelines and oncology supportive care standards preferred
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Adaptability and flexibility in supporting a community oncology practice, including workflow changes and patient-centered care initiatives
