Job Summary
The Clinical Patient Navigator is essential for the smooth operation of an outpatient wound care center and engages in both administrative and clinical functions. Responsibilities include coordinating with leadership to optimize patient scheduling, managing patient communications, verifying insurance information, and assisting in administrative data entry. Under RN supervision, the role involves providing wound-related patient care and support in various clinical tasks. Candidates should possess a high school diploma, relevant certifications, and at least two years of office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting. Competency in BLS and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Graduate from a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
- Current CMA, CNA or EMT Certification licensed in the state of employment
- Minimum of Two (2) or more years office administration experience
Desired Qualifications
- Prior medical coding experience preferred
