Job Summary
Under supervision and in collaboration with other health care professionals, assist in performing a variety of nursing care services for patients. Receives patient care assignment from the registered nurse (RN) in charge and initiates delegated tasks based on demonstrated competence for the patient age group served. Documents data for admission assessment/reassessment and may schedule appointments or surgeries. May provide data to RN/LPN for analysis, assist with patient care in inpatient/outpatient settings, perform bedside nursing tasks (vital signs, baths, ambulating, feeding, hygiene, dressing changes, catheter care, specimen collection), participate in discharge preparation, and support clerical duties (answering calls, transcription, medical records). May perform point of care testing and collaborates with the care team to ensure patient needs and education are addressed. Position supports patients three years of age and older and requires completion of UAP training and BLS at minimum. Night shift, multiple state locations (IL, MO, OK, WI).
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a state approved unlicensed assist personnel program (UAP) or meets the exempted UAP guidelines (documented proof required) or enrolled in UAP through SSM Health upon hire or if hired in Oklahoma/Wisconsin, completion of the Clinical Partner I orientation checklist during 90 day orientation/probationary period.

- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
