Job Summary
The Clinical Oxygen Assistant transports, delivers, and installs homecare equipment (including oxygen cylinders) to patients and institutions, while maintaining safe operation of the company vehicle and providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include educating patients on equipment use, maintenance, and troubleshooting; performing safety checks and documentation; stocking and maintaining supplies; conducting preventative maintenance on equipment; supporting branch operations and on-call coverage; and collaborating with the clinical team to optimize product use and treatment. Requires driving/delivery experience, healthcare customer service experience, and relevant certifications; bilingual in English/French preferred; union position with hourly wage and opportunities for advancement in a patient-focused home healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Care Aid Certification considered an asset
- College Diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Strong written and oral communication skills (verbal and written) in English (or French if QC based position)
- Basic computer / tablet skills
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of respiratory home care equipment preferred; ability and willingness to learn and understand homecare equipment used by patients
- Basic mechanical/repair skills
- 2-3 years of consecutive recent driving/delivery experience
- 2-3 years Customer service experience in a healthcare setting
- Clean and valid driver’s abstract
Desired Qualifications
- Care Aid Certification considered an asset
