Job Summary
Clinical Operations Manager in the UK to lead and develop the Clinical Operations team with local operational presence. Hybrid role with 2 days per week in the Oxford office. Responsibilities include line management of Clinical Operations staff, end-to-end clinical research oversight from business development to project execution, resource allocation and utilization monitoring, staff performance reviews and career development, training and coaching, hiring and onboarding, ensuring GCP compliance, quality control development and implementation, regional project oversight, country-level budget management, and maintenance of regional processes. Requires a Life Sciences degree, CRO/pharma experience, minimum 2 years in lead/region roles, UK regulatory/ethics knowledge, remote team management, HR processes, MS Office proficiency, and ability to travel internationally. Strong leadership, planning and presentation skills expected; opportunity to work with cross-functional teams on new medication development.
Required Qualifications
- College or University degree in Life Sciences
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Lead Monitor, Regional Lead, or equivalent combination of education, training and team leadership experience
- Experience with clinical research sites, R+D processes, legal, regulatory and ethics in the UK
- Remote team management
- At least 2 years’ experience in clinical team management
- Knowledge of local HR line management processes
- Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
- Ability to travel internationally
- Strong time management, organizational, leadership, planning and presentation skills, result-oriented approach
