Job Summary
Clinical Operations Manager based in Chile/Home Based will lead and supervise Clinical Operations staff, including Site Selection, site contracts, regulatory/ethics submissions, and on-site or central monitoring through study closeout. The role involves training, ensuring metric compliance and quality, coordinating with the Clinical Operations team to meet customer requirements, participating in business development as a subject-matter expert, and overseeing resource planning, workload management, and staffing. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in life sciences or nursing (or equivalent) with extensive clinical research leadership experience, strong knowledge of GCP/ICH and regulatory requirements, excellent communication and change-management skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Responsibilities also include coordinating staff training, ensuring SOP/WI compliance, maintaining training records, contributing to process improvements, and supporting budgeting and forecasting across projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, nursing, or equivalent; extensive clinical research leadership experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology company
- Experience in line management of Clinical Operations staff including hiring, performance management, and staff development
- Strong knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and change management skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Ability to work independently and within a team; budgeting and financial concepts understanding
