Job Summary
Manage a team of registered dietitians to guide patients, families, and facility staff on medical nutrition therapy, build physician relationships, and complete nutritional assessments using evidence-based practices. Provide leadership for hiring, scheduling, and training while delivering education to nursing, food service, and patient ambassadors. Lead clinical QAPI projects, document patient interventions in medical records, and manage physician orders for therapeutic diets to support regulatory compliance. This role offers a salary of $78-82k plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus at Memorial Medical Center Las Cruces, NM.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with Commission of Dietetic Registration and licensed dietitian as required per state regulations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food and Nutrition or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a related field
- Knowledge of regulatory standards
- Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software
- Ability to interact with individuals of all backgrounds
- Effective written, spoken, and non-verbal communication
- Service-oriented mentality with a focus on exceeding expectations
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Ability to quickly make sound decisions and judgments
- Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize projects and needs
- Willingness to provide support where needed to achieve outcomes
- Demonstrate integrity, respect, and discretion in all business dealings
- Attention to detail and ability to effectively manage tasks in a fast-paced environment
