Job Summary
Clinical Manager Nutrition leads a team of registered dietitians to guide patients, families, and facility staff on medical nutrition therapy to support nutritional needs and quality care. Key duties include managing hiring, scheduling, training, coaching, and counseling for a team of 2+ registered dietitians; providing nutritional assessments and interventions using evidence-based practices for inpatient and outpatient care; educating patients, families, nursing, and nutrition service staff on nutritional needs; providing nutrition support training for the patient service ambassador team; managing clinical QAPI projects and collaborating with other departments; documenting assessments and interventions in the medical record; communicating with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status; managing orders for therapeutic diets and supplements; attending patient rounds and maintaining nutrition policies to support regulatory compliance; requires RD licensure and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with 3+ years of related experience. Required Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensed dietitian as required per state regulations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a related field
- Knowledge of regulatory standards
- Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian license/registration (CDR)
- Licensed dietitian as required by state regulations
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field
- 3+ years of experience in dietetics/nutrition leadership
- Leadership/management experience of RD team
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and QAPI processes
- Experience with inpatient and outpatient medical nutrition therapy
- Proficiency in documenting in medical records and coordinating with physicians and nursing staff
