Job Summary
Support the nurse in applying the nursing process and developing critical thinking skills for quality patient care delivery. Provide direct patient care including comfort measures, vital signs, personal hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living. Act as a liaison to report patient changes to the Registered Nurse and perform accurate documentation for intake/output and condition changes. Participate in hand-off reports and delegated tasks once competency is validated. Maintain patient safety standards regarding falls, skin breakdown, and infection prevention while utilizing clinical technology as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- HS/GED
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program
- Completed one clinical nursing course
- Completed one clinical rotation
- Must have completed First Clinical Rotation as a Nursing Student
- Ability to clearly communicate to other members of the healthcare team
- Ability to understand and follow directions of healthcare team
- Knowledge of patient and healthcare safety standards and regulations
- Infection prevention and transmission-based precautions
- Team dynamics

Desired Qualifications
- BLS
- Recent experience in acute care and/or long term care facility
