Clinical Nursing Adjunct Faculty - Peds Specialty

Job Summary
Develop and teach didactic, clinical, and skills lab courses while evaluating student progress and facilitating the application of theory to practice. Design and revise the nursing curriculum, lead simulation learning experiences, and conduct clinical site evaluations. Support student progression through academic advisement, remediation of at-risk students, and soft skills coaching in leadership and ethics. Communicate daily with Course Lead Faculty regarding student needs and clinical issues, maintain performance records, and adhere to agency policies. Participate in faculty meetings, program reviews, and FERPA training to uphold program standards.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree required, if the graduate degree is not in nursing must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing and a graduate degree in a related discipline from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- A minimum of three (3) years' work experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Holds a current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhance compact nurse licensure relevant to the state of teaching location
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching in a registered nursing program at a college or university
- Certified Nurse Educator certification
- National certification in area of nursing specialty
