Clinical Nursing Adjunct Faculty - Mental Health Specialty

Job Summary
Develop and deliver didactic and clinical instruction for mental health nursing students, including curriculum design, simulation lab leadership, and clinical site orientation. Evaluate student learning through diverse assessment tools, remediate at-risk students, and provide timely feedback on clinical papers. Facilitate the application of theory to practice by communicating with agency representatives and maintaining comprehensive records on student performance. Participate in faculty meetings to align rotations with course objectives, advise students on academic progression, and contribute to program policy revisions. Adhere to all institutional and clinical facility policies while protecting student privacy through FERPA compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree required, if the graduate degree is not in nursing must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing and a graduate degree in a related discipline from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)
- A minimum of three (3) years' work experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care
- Holds a current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhance compact nurse licensure relevant to the state of teaching location
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching in a registered nursing program at a college or university is preferred
- Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty is preferred
