Job Summary
Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff on a full-time night shift (7p-7a) for an intermediate care stepdown unit. Ensure quality patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance while managing staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization. Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and drive quality improvement initiatives. Serve as the unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager and provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current
- Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care
- Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred
