Job Summary
Provide leadership and operational oversight for an acute care stepdown unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Lead daily nursing operations, supervise clinical staff, manage staffing and workflow, and coach, mentor, and evaluate nursing personnel. In the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager, assume full responsibility for unit operations and provide direct patient care as needed. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to drive quality improvement and regulatory compliance. Full-time night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) with 3-12-hour rotations. Requires current RN license, BSN preferred, and active ACLS and BLS certifications. Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current
- Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care
- Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred
