Job Summary
Lead daily nursing operations and supervise clinical staff on the Intermediate Care/Stepdown unit, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care. Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and resource utilization while driving quality improvement and operational excellence. Coach, mentor, train, and evaluate nursing staff, collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Serve as unit leader in the absence of the Director or Nurse Manager and provide direct patient care as needed within RN scope of practice. Maintain regulatory compliance and ensure staff development aligns with unit goals.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state Registered Nurse license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current
- Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care
- Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred
