Clinical/Nurse Substitute (26-27 SY)

Clinical/Nurse Substitute role in Irving, TX: serve as the school clinic RN to cover for the absence of the school nurse. Responsibilities include managing student health records and documentation per nursing regulations, overseeing clinic operations and supplies, providing individual and group health instruction, training and supervising clinic staff and volunteers, maintaining confidentiality under FERPA/HIPAA, promoting health and safety, coordinating immunization activities, conducting mandated screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, AN) with referrals as needed, implementing care for chronic and acute illnesses, delivering first aid and physician-directed procedures, and developing student-specific health plans to support learning. Requires Professional Registered Nurse with Texas license and CPR instructor certification; Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum two years clinical nursing experience (five years preferred).
