Clinical Nurse (SSN) Seasonal - Night Shift

Job Summary

Coordinate patient-centered care in a skills mix environment with minimal supervision, prioritizing assessments, care planning, interventions, and evaluations across licensed facilities. Provide direct and indirect age-specific care, delegate tasks to unlicensed staff, and manage multiple assignments while maintaining safe patient care standards. Perform technical patient care activities, troubleshoot equipment, and support compassionate bereavement services as needed. This seasonal night shift assignment runs from October 1, 2026, through March 31, 2027, with an option to extend to six months. On-call rotation may be required based on department needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or Diploma Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum two years of experience in acute care within the last two years
  • Completion of Basic Arrhythmia Recognition and Treatment course or equivalent
  • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation
  • Ability to speak, read and write legibly in English
  • Ability to use computer, printer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, electronic medical record, electronic event reporting program
  • Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment
  • Ability to perform technical patient care activities
  • Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others
  • Ability to be assertive and consistent in following and enforcing policies
  • Ability to lead, supervise, teach and collaborate
