Job Summary

Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to serve as a clinical expert in pediatric procedural care and infusion therapy at American Family Children’s Hospital. Responsibilities include advancing nursing practice through evidence-based care, quality improvement, staff mentorship, and implementing innovative care models; supporting nurses caring for pediatric patients receiving chemotherapy, infusions, injections, procedural sedation, MRI/anesthesia recovery, cardiac cath recovery, and outpatient specialty procedures; collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance safety, patient experience, and outcomes; guiding practice and education in a highly specialized pediatric environment. Three years of pediatric procedural or ICU-level experience is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or doctoral degree in Nursing Required
  • 2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Wisconsin or a compact jurisdiction Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 6 months Required
