Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Operating Room: a clinician-educator-consultant driving high-quality patient care and nursing practice. Partners with clinical teams to elevate outcomes, support staff development, and align care with MercyOne’s mission. Performs patient care rounds, analyzes practice using nursing process, uses data to improve efficiency/outcomes, provides real-time coaching, collaborates with leaders to identify care gaps, designs and delivers staff education, supports onboarding, mentors nurses, integrates evidence-based practice and nursing research, leads/participates in performance improvement initiatives, ensures safety and infection control, and adheres to nursing standards. Requires MSN, Iowa RN licensure, specialty certification within 6 months, BLS/ACLS, and 3-5 years of experience in a specialty area. Day shift, full-time, 8-hour shifts, 1.0 FTE. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree (MSN)
- Licensure as RN in Iowa
- Specialty-area certification within 6 months of hire
- 3-5 years of experience in a nursing specialty
- Mandatory Reporter, BLS, ACLS
