Job Summary
Clinical Nurse Specialist – Geriatric Emergency Medicine in the Emergency Department at Toronto General/Toronto Western Hospital. Provides advanced clinical leadership, conducts comprehensive gerontological assessments, mentors staff, leads quality improvement and research activities, engages in education initiatives, and supports the advancement of nursing standards in the ED. Requires a master’s degree in nursing or recognized equivalent; specialty certificate in gerontology preferred; eligible for cross-appointment to an academic institution; strong communication, organizational, and collaborative practice skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing or recognized equivalent
- Current certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Five (5) years experience in an acute care setting
- Specialty certificate in gerontology preferred
