Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) leads onboarding of staff in a critical care unit, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, establishes competency standards, provides clinical consultation, and supports staff development within the Synergy Model to improve patient outcomes; requires advanced nursing education, Alaska licensure, BLS, CNS certification, and leadership experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree from a CNS program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC
- Alaska RN License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- Current certification in area of specialty (e.g., CEN, CCRN)
- 3 years RN experience in area of specialty
- 2 years clinical leadership responsibility
