Job Summary
Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards after completing a nursing program and before licensure. Will be required to obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation to remain employed in a health-system in Missouri. Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educates patients and families on managing illness or injury and post-treatment home care needs, and medication administration. Applies critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate patients’ physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs; develops and implements individual care plans with the healthcare team; evaluates patient responses and modifies plans throughout the stay. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance, and professional development. Cross trains to Postpartum; NICU, Special Care Nursery, Peds inpatient experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing Diploma/Associate's
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Required to obtain RN licensure within 90 days of graduation
