Clinical Nurse (RN), PACU – PACU

Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care at the bedside while establishing rapport with patients, families, and friends. Document electronic patient care and outcomes, delegate tasks to non-licensed personnel, and participate in unit performance improvement programs and nursing committees. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled substance regulations. Serve as charge nurse with manager approval and maintain equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and inventory management. Requires Associate's or preferred Bachelor's degree in Nursing, current DC RN license, and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Minimum two years of RN acute care experience in hospital-based nursing, preferably PACU, ICU, or ED is required. Full-time 40-hour day shift with variable start times; night and weekend call shifts required. Base pay ranges from $37.33 to $62.43 per hour, commensurate with experience and the DCNA collective bargaining agreement.
