Clinical Nurse (RN) - Mother/Baby

Clinical Nurse (RN) on the Mother/Baby unit (Unit 56) providing professional nursing care through assessment, documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for term newborns, mothers with baby, and related gynecology patients. Responsibilities include coordinating care delivery and education with patients, families, and the health-care team to ensure safe, effective care in a fast-paced, academic medical center setting; mentorship and precepting of students; and participating in evidence-based practices (skin-to-skin, 24-hour rooming-in). Unit consists of 29 beds and supports care across the birth continuum with interdisciplinary collaboration among physicians, nurses, APNs, social workers, lactation consultants, and chaplains. The role requires nights, full-time scheduling, and compliance with organizational policies, with BSN as preferred and ADN-based nurses encouraged to complete BSN within five years.
