Job Summary
Clinical Nurse (RN) provides hands-on inpatient care for patients in clinical trials, following the nursing process and California Nursing Practice Act. Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating care; coordinating with the healthcare team; educating patients and families; ensuring licensure maintenance (BLS/ACLS) and adherence to safety standards; contributes to teaching and mentoring other staff, with emphasis on family-centered care, rapid response to changing conditions, and ongoing professional development. Position is 0.9 FTE on day shift at Stanford Health Care, Palo Alto, CA. BSN preferred; CA-RN license required; chemotherapy certification strongly preferred; ACLS may be required by cost center.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- CA-RN (Registered Nurse)
- Current American Heart Association BLS
- Current American Heart Association ACLS
- Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
- Regulatory compliance with California Nursing Practice Act
- Able to communicate effectively in English
