Job Summary
Clinical Nurse/Registered Nurse (RN) at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, NC, PRN with an 8–12 hour weekly commitment and orientation requirements. Responsibilities include providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care using the nursing process, participating in the clinical ladder and departmental activities, and delivering patient- and family-centered care in a collaborative environment. Requires 2+ years of RN experience, BSN/ADN/Diploma acceptable, NC licensure, and BLS; flexible scheduling with non-traditional shifts and self-scheduling available. Supports a diverse, inclusive healthcare setting with emphasis on professional development and adherence to regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a clinical nurse is required
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program is required
- All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date
- Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse OR current compact RN licensure to practice in the state of North Carolina
- BLS (or higher) certification is required
