Clinical Nurse Pre-op/post-op/PACU Part Time

Provide direct patient care in PACU/Pre-op/Post-op settings, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Educate patients and families on post-treatment needs and medications. Develop and document individual plans of care in collaboration with the interprofessional team, ensuring clear communication across the continuum of care. Apply critical nursing skills to address physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs; participate in safety, quality, and regulatory activities; and contribute to professional development. Role supports nursing career progression with the BJC RN Career Ladder. Minimum requirements include Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree with RN licensure; preferred Bachelor’s degree and up to <2 years of experience. Schedule is part-time, Monday-Friday 10:00 AM–3:00 PM at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis, MO. The role is safety-sensitive and involves working in a fast-paced surgical environment across eyes, ORS, breast, flaps, vascular, and gender reaffirming surgeries, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
