Clinical Nurse Pre-op/post-op Outpatient Surgery Center

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Delivers care for pre-op and post-op patients in an outpatient surgery center, working across OR and GI procedure rooms. Role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, patient education on post-treatment home needs and medication administration, and collaboration with an interprofessional team. Responsibilities include creating and documenting individual plans of care, coordinating communication across the continuum of care, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance, and pursuing professional development. Role is safety-sensitive with shift schedules from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, typically 4/10-hour shifts Mon-Fri, with staggered starts and no on-call requirements. Licensure as an RN is required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred and may support advancement on the BJC RN Career Ladder.
