Job Summary
Oversee infusions administered in ambulatory infusion centers and assist with managing adverse drug reactions. Develop policy, procedure, and protocol updates as needed while performing nursing functions and maintaining knowledge of existing and developing infusion therapies. Collaborate with nurses, other NPs, and MDs to work as a team member within the Cumming, GA service area. Travel to other AICs when needed for staffing coverage. Maintain strong knowledge of chronic disease states and current therapies while working in a calm, high-pressure environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license in the state(s) of practice
- Experience in family physician setting
- Possesses strong knowledge of chronic disease states
- Knowledge of current and emerging therapies
- BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Proficiency in partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner
- Ability to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team
- Must be able to travel to other AICs when needed for staffing coverage
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision
- Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, vendors, and staff
- Ability to uphold the confidentiality of protected health information and follow all HIPAA policies
