Job Summary
Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within nursing standards in the PACU. Promotes patient and family centered care, educates on post-treatment care and medications, and collaborates with an interprofessional team to develop and communicate care plans across the continuum. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, emotional and cultural needs, supports patient safety and quality/regulatory compliance, and participates in ongoing professional development. Role supports exposure to neuro, transplant, ortho, ENT, cardio, vascular, thoracic, trauma and spine procedures in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment. This RN position is safety-sensitive with a 4x10 schedule (M-Thursday 2200-0830) and includes call hours; a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree is required with Bachelor's degree preferred and current RN licensure.
