Clinical Nurse Operating Room Outpatient Surgery Center

Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care within standards of nursing care while promoting patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, ensuring communication across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, including patient preferences and cultural values. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engage in professional development. This safety-sensitive role supports the Center for Advanced Medicine-South County, a new outpatient facility opening late spring 2016 near the Siteman Cancer Center, offering 4-10 hour shifts Monday through Friday.
