Clinical Nurse Operating Room Educator

Maintain clinical competence and demonstrate safe care for newborns through geriatric patients across the perioperative and GI services. Function as a role model by delivering direct, indirect, and consultative patient care while assessing progress and appropriateness of therapy. Collaborate with management to design, plan, and evaluate formal education programs, coordinate unit education on new products, and maintain unit-based and annual competencies for staff. Serve as a clinical resource to preceptors, orientees, unit staff, and students by assisting in developing standards of care, counseling orientees, and clearing nursing personnel in procedures. Participate in performance improvement and research programs by identifying indicators, collecting data, initiating projects, and incorporating findings into clinical practice. Conduct rounds on nursing units to identify needs, maintain open communication with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure documentation compliance with regulatory guidelines.
