Clinical Nurse Operating Room

Direct patient care in the perioperative/operating room setting for Cardiothoracic procedures, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of care. Educate patients and families on illness/injury management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration. Collaborate with interprofessional team to develop and communicate individualized plans of care, ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and support professional development and career progression within Barnes-Jewish Hospital's RN ladder. Exposure to minimally invasive, heart failure, heart and lung transplants, robotic and vascular/endovascular procedures; opportunity to work with world-renowned surgeons and anesthesiologists in a Magnet-designated facility. Roles emphasize leadership, education, and evidence-based practice in a fast-paced environment.
