Clinical Nurse Operating Room

Provides direct patient care in Surgical Services (Operating Room) including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care per established standards. Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educates patients and families on illness/injury management and post-treatment needs, and administers medications. Participates in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, engages in professional development, and documents care plans with interprofessional teams. Supports the BJC RN Career Ladder and advancing to higher ladder levels through demonstrated competencies, leadership, and continued education. This is a safety-sensitive nursing role with shifts that include 6:30A start times, on-call weeknights, and weekend coverage; the department operates 23 ORs with advanced robotic capabilities.
