Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care for moderate to high acuity oncology patients, including those on Bone Marrow Transplant and chemotherapy regimens. Develop and document individual plans of care in collaboration with the interprofessional team while educating patients and families on illness management and medication administration. Promote patient safety and quality compliance by proactively communicating care plans across the continuum and addressing psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs. Work 3-12 hour rotating shifts, including nights, as a safety-sensitive role requiring constant alertness. Join a multidisciplinary team at the Alvin J. Siteman Cancer Center, where professional growth is supported through the Oncology Nursing Fellowship Program and the Oncology Certified Nurse certification track.
